- Prof. Francesco Simonetti [HP, Google scholar], a leading pioneer in cryo ultrasonic testing (cryo UT), visited our lab and delivered an invited seminar. His talk, titled “Fast and Dense Ice for Ultrasonic Nondestructive Testing,” began with an overview of the industrial demands for inspecting complex-shaped components, and then transitioned into a comprehensive presentation of his state-of-the-art research in cryo UT. The lecture was both insightful and informative, leading to a lively discussion that lasted for more than 1.5 hours. We are sincerely grateful to Prof. Simonetti for generously sharing his expertise and insights, which deeply inspired and motivated us.
